On anger and frustration

see the thing is,

life will always have challenges whether you sleep beneath a tree or in the loftiest palace,

whether you have a car or not,

it cares not about how ugly or pretty you are

as they say the grass is not always greener on the other side

you may look and envy them

but you did not see what they hid behind their smiles

you  saw  but the glitz during the day

nor the tears that cuddle them to sleep

or the pills that give them peace

you highlighted the darkness in yours against the brightness in theirs

had you compared your dark to their dark

jealousy would be a foreign word

envy a forgotten feeling

Dear Lady Justice,

You are here without a summons.

Voices insist you be taken

upstairs to crowds waiting

to watch you, hear you proclaim

their imperative. Refuse, at last,

dirty from use, long stationed in rooms

of churning bile and duty shirked.

Move outside now free as spring’s robins.

Have nothing of these scripted circuses.

Search for space not up for auction

by men who claim you without scales,

without blindfold. Rip off that gown,

grey, tattered, and go among trees

thin as girls’ legs. See small waving

fronds, the hands of children who need you

to pick them up right now and run.

That means that “an estimated six billion pounds of fruits and vegetables are wasted every […]

Do we buy only pretty ? we do actually, if you have been to the market even here in Nigeria you would see a woman selecting fruits and vegetables or telling the seller “change this one ” i have also been guilty of this where you always choose the prettier or more smooth oranges and bananas or whatever and this actually causes a lot of waste while many are hungry.

A Furnace Grim — Kosmogonic

I describe but never quite feel, Cocooned, inured to pure reveal, Buried, layers down, intractable, Inoculated, reality non-contractable From this position of attrition, I mould and scrape a feeble rendition Of the revelation denied us By machinery on the jagged cusp Of improbability and despair, Created by no-one, from nowhere Out of the mind of […]

A precision concision exhibition of contrition exposition is a mission of the frisson of fission fusion, suggesting suggestion of congestion ingestion as a conception inception deception, wherein therein, words like birds, slicing thirds, dicing curds and whey, of milk silk and the ilk, the Miss Muffett tuffet neither here nor there, hear no swear, to […]
